Poker For Beginners: A Quick Guide On Playing No-Limit Hold ‘Em Poker

Poker is one of the most popular online casino games. Sites such as Entaplay Alternatif offers several bonuses when new players register an account. This card game is easy to learn. The No-Limit Hold’em usually uses a standard 52-card deck. It is usually played by 2 or more players.

How the game works

  1. Deal. The dealer deals two cards to all players starting with the player on his or her left. This is what you call a Hand. The player on the dealer’s left is the first player to act. That player can either Bet ( increase the pot prize) or Check (do nothing).
  1. The next player to the left has three choices:
  • Call (match the amount the first player put in the prize pot)
  • Fold (give up the hand and all the chips already out in the prize pot)
  • Raise (increase the pot prize even more)

This will continue until all players have either called or folded.

  1. The Flop. Once the first betting round is complete, the dealer deals three cards face-up on the board. These are what you call community cards. Any player can use these. The next player to the left will have to choose again to either call, fold or raise. This will continue again until all players have either called or folded.
  1. The Turn. The dealer now puts a fourth card on the table that anyone can use. Again everyone gets the chance to check, raise or fold.
  1. The River. The dealer puts the fifth and final card on the board that anyone can again use. All players that has not folded yet will now have their last chance to check, raise the pot or fold.
  1. Show hands. If more than one player is still left after the final bet, all players will reveal their hands to everyone.
  1. Win! After showing all cards, the player with the highest hand combination will win all the bet on the pot prize.
